10-panel exhibitSummaryOnce referred to as “melancholy”, nervous depression has been described since ancient times. It takes many forms that vary in intensity, ranging from deep sadness to serious depression and the risk of suicide. Ten times more people suffer from depression than in 1945 and up to 20% of people in developed countries are affected by it. Neurobiology provides valuable insight into this disease and the reasons why it develops. Efficient treatments now exist to provide relief and cure. Paintings by Odetka Tuduri - Text: Aimée Baudon -Translation: Anne-Marie Harper
